Description

The Decent One Max is a powerful, long-lasting and capable e-scooter. It offers the rider an extremely smooth ride thanks to it’s large 10″ wheels and with its powerful 10ah battery the scooter can reach distances of up to 35km.

From a short push off, the One Max will hit 15.5mph in ‘sport’ mode and climb a 15 degree incline all thanks to its torquey 350w front hub motor. Tap the menu button and switch to Standard or Eco drive modes, offering lower top speeds ideal for cruising to maximise that 20 mile per-battery range.

When it comes to tyres, bigger is definitely better. The 10inch tyres provide a smooth, comfortable ride and help to reduce fatigue on longer journeys. This pneumatic setup uses the common Schrader ‘car-type’ valve ensuring you can pump your tyres up anywhere.

Alongside the braking force of the hub motor, the rear wheel features a powerful mechanical disc brake to quickly bring the scooter to a halt. Pressing down on the rear fender can further shorten braking distances in emergency situations. Mounted ahead of the metal brake lever is a small bell for announcing your presence, whilst the scooter also features an LED headlight plus an LED rear running light that flashes during braking.

The One Max features a larger 360Wh battery (twice the capacity of the One) which helps you go the distance. Why not extend your journey further and throw a spare battery into a backpack, unlike other scooters, the battery on the One and One Max can be removed from the tube in seconds, with no tools needed. The lightweight, compact battery can be charged in approx. 6 hours, externally from the scooter with the standard charger, meaning you can always have one topped up and ready to go.

Can electric scooters be used in the rain?

Most electric scooters come with an IP Rating meaning they are water resistant to some level. They can be used in the rain, but they are not (usually) fully waterproof.

What are the speed limits of electric scooters?

Always check the laws when buying an electric scooter. The average e-scooter reaches speeds of 15.5mph. Some can reach speeds of 100mph, but this is not legal on public roads.

Are electric scooters good for going up hills?

Electric scooters can travel up hills, using more power and battery. If you know you will be travelling up hills, have a fully charged scooter or bring your charger and find a charging point.

Will pushing an electric scooter damage it?

Electric scooters are made to be used with the motor, not manually. Pushing it will damage the motor, so it is important to fold it up and hold it until you reach your destination.

What is the battery capacity/ life like on electric scooters?

Depending on the brand of electric scooter determines the time in which they last. The best can give up to 80 miles in one full charge, whereas some can do 10 miles, which can still get you pretty far.

How do electric scooters work?

Inside of an electric scooter, there is a small motor which is powered by a battery which you charge. Ensuring the motor is kept in great condition is the best way to prolong the life of your electric scooter.

What are the electric scooter laws in the UK?

The laws on electric scooters at the moment are that they are legal to be used privately or can be used publicly if using a rental. Read here to find out all of the information about the legalisation of electric scooters.
