With the ever-growing want and desire for e-scooters as people begin to realise how useful they are, there’s also many questions that come along with looking at purchasing one. How fast can they go, where an I use them, how long does the charge last etc… but one many ask is, can e-scooters go uphill?

In short, the answer is yes. E-Scooters can travel uphill and with ease too. Depending on the scooter you are looking at purchasing will give a result of how much incline the e-scooter can take. Some basic e-scooters will only be able to take an incline of 10-15% hill grade, whereas others which have a bit more ‘kit’ on them, can get up to an incline of 30% hill grade.

There are some factors to think about such as the weight of the person who will be travelling uphill on the electric scooter, the momentum gained before travelling etc… Your e-scooter should also have a significant amount of charge on it before going uphill, so it is always a good idea to check your journey before you make any moves. The final factor which is important to think about is balance. Is each end/ side holding the same amount of weight to be balanced out on the e-scooter, or is it unbalanced?
