The First E-Scooter Launched In 1915
Over a hundred years ago the first e-scooter had been launched – crazy, right? The beginning of the electric scooter began with something known as the ‘Autoped‘. It had a top speed of 20mph and had some big 10 inch tyres! The Autoped was operated more like a car than an electrically run e-scooter. The handlebars could be pushed forward in aid of operating the clutch, and pulled bac to disengage the clutch and get the brakes working. Would you ride an Autoped today?

Even back at the start of the 1900s, e-scooters were used as an amazing way of commuting! Men, women and businesses all found themselves getting to and from work with one of the Autopeds and for great reason too! Back then, it was extortionately cheaper than running a car to grab yourself an Autoped, so why wouldn’t you?

We all know (it is one of the most well-known e-scooter facts) that the UK have been trialling the usage and convenience an e-scooter provides. Before they are allowed to fully legalise e-scooters in the UK, they must think about safety concerns.

Sooooo many different celebrities have been spotted riding and whizzing around town on an e-scooter. The one thing to note is that they always look super happy when doing so! Sam Smith, Justin Bieber – even Gordon Ramsay has nothing bad to say about the usage of an e-scooter!
